Science was never my best subject. My grades in high school were A's with the exception of B's in all of my science courses. Though for each science, I was able to grasp one concept, usually areas with a heavy math component. In biology it was Punnett Squares, chemistry was balancing equations and physics was the concept of measuring work done. My friends would used this notion to question my decision to run track and field since in terms of physics, despite my multiple turns around the track, I really did no work.
Which brings me to the close of the S&P 500. Those of you who follow my twitter feed may recall my doom and gloom tweets from this summer when the DJIA dropped 500 points. Now after all that stress, 2011 has ended right where it began so to speak. Kind of makes me happy that my career change will be taking me out of finance . . . for awhile at least . . .
