In March 2009 I left the doom and gloom of Seattle and the financial markets for a few days and enjoyed the Florida sun. An amazing thing happened while I was away, the market hit bottom and then began to climb upwards.
Since then I've noticed that the market tends to do well when I'm out of the office and today was no exception. As I spent time with my family and re-acquainted myself with Philadelphia, the DJIA climbed more than 300 points. I figure that this occurs because of all the hard work I put in stimulating the economy by shopping on Walnut St. and gorging myself at DiBruno Bros.
Perhaps I've jinxed myself, the market and by extension your wallet by citing this trend so publicly, but if not, you're welcome and hope you enjoy the rest of the holidays.
